Started in 2021, AcustiCidade proposes a reinterpretation of the city of Braga through its stories and its sound environment. Over these four years, unique sound paths were created as a result of collaboration between pairs of guest artists, each exploring a specific area of the city: Space Transcribers and Pedro Augusto dedicated themselves to the Parretas Urbanisation; ondamarela and Pedro Lima to the parish of Merelim São Paio; João Catalão and Rita Sampaio to the Carandá, Galos and Latinhas area; and Marta Moreira and Pedro Sousa to Maximinos.

In 2025, AcustiCidade proposes a pause in the production of new routes to promote a series of conversations that will address themes that are essential to the project: sound and memory, walking as a performative act, and the future of urban communities. These sessions, moderated by Passeio - the urban art and culture platform of the Centre for Studies in Communication and Society (CECS) at the University of Minho - aim to deepen the reflection on the role of sound and community experiences in the urban space, contributing to new perspectives on the city and its identities.
