BMA lab: Dialogues in Music, with Steve Gunn and David Moore
American musician Steve Gunn came to prominence as Kurt Vile's guitarist. As a solo artist, he has released six albums praised for the way they deconstruct the folk and American sound. He has collaborated with various artists, including Black Twig Pickers, Ryley Walker, Mike Gangloff and Mary Lattimore.
David Moore is the leader of the minimal and ambient music group Bing & Ruth. The pianist and composer made a name for himself with the 2014 album Tomorrow Was The Golden Age, which is mentioned as one of the best works in the ambient genre of all time.
Together, they created Let the Moon Be a Planet, the result of a collaborative process of improvisation and deep listening. In this masterclass dedicated to musicians, Steve Gunn and David Moore present their process of dialog through instruments, which they call "musical conversation".
