Dance of Inert Materials #3Movediço
#3Movediço is part of “Dança de Materiais Inertes” (Dance of Inert Materials), a series of installations and performances by choreographer and dancer Marta Cerqueira and pianist and composer Simão Costa. Each piece explores and investigates the dimensions in which Sound becomes Movement and Movement becomes Sound, proposing a choreographic, kinetic, and musical look at inert things.
#3Movediço is inspired by elements that humans consider “inert” such as geological aspects and the biotic potential of plants. The work invites reflection on the relationship between humans and other beings in the universe, be they animals, plants, or minerals, questioning who moves or is moved.
