Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the creative landscape. This technological leap challenges traditional notions of authorship, raising questions about the artist’s role in the creation process.

Programmed by M-Cult’s producer and EMAP residency coordinator Mia Mäkelä, the online workshop ‘Authorship in AI-Generated Art’ invites pioneering AI artist-philosopher Boris Eldagsen and artist-researcher duo Kairus to debate creative integrity rights and analyse the implications of Artificial Intelligence in the context of media arts.

After the speakers' presentations, the session invites the audience to join the artists in a debate based on the challenges and possibilities of visual creation and the ethical considerations of AI in art.

The online session will be held on 22 October, from 5 p.m to 7 p.m, at the link available here.
