Launched in 2022, the European cooperation project Youth 4 Bauhaus, supported by the Cooperation Partnerships Erasmus+ programme, brought Braga together with the cities of Bucharest (Romania), Ghent (Belgium), and Košice (Slovakia) to thin and debate the urban, environmental, political, social and cultural dynamics of cities.

During this project, 80 students and nine teachers from the four cities, including young people with impairments and autism spectrum disorders, developed participatory and co-creation practices in the public space, analysing and testing them according to the principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) - inclusion, sustainability, and beauty. During the three-year, the initiative reinforced the capacity of the organisations and young participants to increase their active participation as citizens in the intervention of cities, using the Minecraft educational programme as a support tool.

The results of the project have now been released in full by the consortium of partners - a manual of participatory practices in the creation of sustainable public spaces, an inclusive guide, and a Minecraft tutorial - allowing anyone to have free access to all the tools and methodologies used by the participants. Through these results, the project can be replicated and implemented by teachers, educators, trainers, specialists, etc., anywhere in the world, creating an inclusive educational framework that promotes the involvement of young people in the future of cities.
