For almost 10 years, the OCUPA art exhibition has offered a perspective on artistic production in electronic music and digital art. Promoted by the AUAUFEIOMAU cooperative with the support of the Municipality of Braga, gnration, Braga Media Arts, and the University of Minho, the ninth edition of the event presents a new programme of concerts, art installations, and talks.

For two days, artists such as Mira Quebec x Diogo Mendes, Tomás Alvarenga + Teresa Arêde, Krake + Ricardo Peixoto, Knok Knok + Maria João Salgado and the project Clube de Inverno by Circuito - with artistic direction by Larie and Ana Mariz - will occupy gnration for a series of concerts and performances.

The exhibition programme includes the usual ‘Posto de Escuta’, an exhibition developed by the students of the Master's in Media Arts at the University of Minho. In this edition, the students focus on the theme ‘INTRINSÈQUE’ and present a set of 13 sound pieces that explore the power of listening as a form of human connection. The exhibition is available to visit on 6 and 7 December.

The connection between image and sound is the starting point for this year's conversation programme. Armando Teixeira, Maria João Salgado, Rita Silva, and Bruno Martins come together to reflect on how music and image shape each other in the artistic universe.
