S+T+ARTS (Science, Technology and Arts) is an initiative of the European Commission to foster alliances of technology and artistic practice. Launched in 2016 as part of this initiative, the S+T+ARTS Prize honours pioneering collaborations and projects in the field of creativity and innovation, consolidating the intersection between science, technology and the world of the arts.

To prepare for the new year's edition, the competition has announced an open call for artists/creative professionals or researchers/companies from all over the world. After being considered by a jury, the candidates will be honoured in the Innovative Collaboration and Artistic Exploration categories, receiving a cash prize of €20,000 each. The two winners will also have the opportunity to exhibit and/or present their projects during the Ars Electronica festival, which takes place in September in Linz, Austria.

Innovative Collaboration Prize – Honors innovative collaboration between industry or technology and the artistic and creative sectors.

Artistic Exploration Prize – Honors artistic research and works whose adoption by the arts has great potential to influence or change the use, application, or perception of technology.

The open call ends on 5 March and applications can be submitted via the S+T+ARTS website.
