OPEN CALL: ODE - Electronic Devices Orchestra returns for another edition of musical creation
Composed particularly of electronic instruments, such as computers, tablets or synthesisers, ODE - Electronic Devices Orchestra has become a meeting and sharing space for musicians and non-musicians in Braga, since 2019. In this informal ensemble, conventional instruments are replaced by electronic instruments, challenging the limits of artistic creation and sound exploration.
Maintaining the practice of renewing the artistic direction each year, in 2025 the ODE will be led by harpist and composer Angélica Salvi, a position that, over the last few seasons, has been occupied by names such as Rui Souza, Ece Canlı, Pedro Augusto, Pedro Santos, Lucas Palmeira (Imaginando) and Filipe Lopes. Born in Spain, Angélica Salvi has been deeply involved in the worlds of jazz, pop, rock, experimental and electronic music, an experience that has led her to collaborate in the areas of dance, theatre and visual arts.
The new edition of ODE is open to everyone, with no age limits or musical knowledge. The electronic orchestra promises to develop new audiovisual shows, which will be presented to the public in three moments, the first scheduled for 7 June.
