Since 2017, the City of Metz (France) has been focusing on the cultural world and promoting the Constellations de Metz International Festival. This event, which over the years has become one of the highlights of the city's cultural calendar, is an artistic journey of discovery where visitors are invited to explore the city as it is artistically transformed, offering a rich and multidisciplinary programme. 

As part of the Festival, whose next edition will take place from June 19 to August 30, 2025, the City of Metz promotes an open call for professional artists, artist collectives or cultural agents, in France and abroad, working in the field of video mapping. Candidate projects must respect the theme 'Artificial Metamorphoses', proposed by the initiative's organisers, and must be set to music and adapted for the final presentation, where the winning works will cover the façades of the Cloître des Trinitaires, a Metz heritage site. Each work should be approximately 3 minutes long.

Following the jury’s deliberation, the five projects with the highest scores will be selected and publicly projected as part of the ‘Pierres Numériques’ evening art programme. In addition to the public exhibition, each selected projects will receive a cash prize of €3,000 (including tax).
