In 2025, Braga will be the center of Portuguese culture, assuming the title of Portuguese Capital of Culture. To involve the community in national artistic creation, Braga 25 and the Municipal Volunteering Structure - Braga Voluntária are promoting an open call for the Volunteering Programme for all people aged 15 or over who want to actively participate in the city's title as the Portuguese Capital of Culture.

This initiative aims to integrate citizens into the cultural action plan through different volunteering opportunities that boost active citizenship, help the emancipation of citizens, and provide the most varied individual and collective empowerment experiences.

The Volunteering Programme of Braga 25 runs throughout 2025, with a training period in the last four months of 2024. The open call for volunteers ends on August 15, and candidate interviews will happen in September and October.
