Is technology at such a stage of evolution to be able to ‘change sex’ and overcome gender inscriptions? What political imaginaries make this transformation possible? What narratives are made possible by feminist approaches to technology?

In this episode, presenter Ana-Maria Carabelea tries to answer some of these questions in conversation with Professor Judy Wajcman and visual and multimedia artist Silvia Binda. Starting from a feminist vision of the technological universe, the guests in the fourth chapter of the podcast analyze the historical links between technology and gender and how, manufactured in the image of their creators (often men), technologies end up serving and reproducing patriarchal systems.

Episode four is now available on the Ars Electronica website and streaming platforms (Apple Podcast, Spotify, etc.).
