The meeting convened representatives from cities across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France, fostering the exchange of experiences, reinforcing international cooperation, and generating opportunities for collaborative projects in various creative sectors within the Network. Braga's involvement aligns with its strategic objectives as a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts, underscoring its commitment to international collaboration, cultural innovation, and the integration of culture and technology in promoting sustainable urban development.

The programme featured public sessions showcasing the strategies and initiatives of the participating cities, alongside panel discussions focused on future collaboration among the national networks of UNESCO Creative Cities. In addition to engaging with local stakeholders, the delegations had the opportunity to experience the manual ringing of bells, a practice recently inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The programme also included a visit to the Atapuerca archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2000, as well as the National Centre for Research on Human Evolution (CENIEH).

Additionally, as part of this meeting, the national networks of UNESCO Creative Cities from Spain, Italy, and Portugal convened to explore opportunities for strategic collaboration and the development of joint initiatives, in line with the guiding principles of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
