The S+T+ARTS AQUA MOTION event starts today in Viana do Castelo

Between 25 September and 11 October, Viana do Castelo will host a programme of activities that brings art, science, technology and water closer together, presenting to the public the work developed as part of the S+T+ARTS AQUA MOTION residencies.

Over several weeks, artists and local communities will share different ways of observing, listening to and experiencing aquatic ecosystems through performances, workshops, walks, environmental data, gastronomy and collaborative creative processes.

The first activities take place tomorrow and Saturday.

Activities scheduled for 25 and 26 September:

25 September | CMIA – Viana do Castelo – Registration here

19:15 – Opening session

19:30 – Conversations with participating artists

20:30 – Screening of Sleeping with the Tides, accompanied by a live reading

26 September | CMIA and Praia Norte – Viana do Castelo

15:00 – See-Waves: live demonstration and conversation with artists José Teibão and Becken Filipe – Registration here
