Youth 4 Bauhaus is a project based in the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative launched by the European Commission in October 2020. Inspired by creativity, art and
culture, the initiative adds to the European Green European Ecological Pact (Green Deal) a new dimension, taking it as a mission to bring it closer to all citizens and their common lives. It is a collective effort of best practices on building a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future, with new ways of living, emphasizing the need to connect the world of art, culture, and social inclusion, with the domain of science and technology.
The Youth 4 Bauhaus project aims to empower young people for the changes occurring in the cities where they live, giving them a voice and motivating them to questions about sustainable development, architecture, urbanism, business, sociology, ecology and culture. It is important to involve them actively and critically in the different ways of using public urban space - in a sustainable, greener and more inclusive way - according to the principles of the New European Bauhaus green approach.
80 students, including young people with mobility impaired, deaf and young people with and young people with autism spectrum disorders, will be will be challenged to think and debate together in loco and in real time, concrete issues of urban environmental, political, social and cultural issues of the of the four cities involved. To do this, they will use
pilot digital tools that will allow them to formulate and present their opinions. They will also have the opportunity to publicly present and defend their final options when they are present in these cities.
